Hello from Belgium

Hello everyone,

Nice forum ! I think some members of the former GTVV6 forum are active here, correct ?

I saw already Davor's beautiful GTV, how about Luke or Fabio ?

My current Spider is my 4th Alfa, I started with 145 Q4 and owned 2x GTV's 2.0 TS.

Since they were my daily runners I never owned the V6 until I received my company car.

I sold my GTV and started the search for a Spider V6 TB low mileage / full service history. It had to be the 2.0 V6 TB version since the annual car tax in Belgium is still calculated on engine capacity instead of Kw. After 6-7 months it became clear that I would not find the car in Belgium.

Finally I bought my Spider 2.0 V6 TB with 28.000km phase II from '99 ( full service history with cambelt change etc .. ) from an Alfisti in Italy. After many mail & fax messages I jumped on the plain, met the owner at the airport, arranged the documents and started my long drive back to Belgium. I had some insurance on chassisnumber but basically no road assistance or matching documents for number plate etc .. A bit of a gamble but it was a wonderfull 2 day road trip, especially since my girlfriend flew into Pisa and joined me on the way back to Belgium passing by Monaco.

The spider has now about 40.000km and I owned it for 2 years, all in all very happy with it and no major issue's upto now ( knock wood ) except for the odd trick with the hammer to unlock roofcover to open the electric roof and sometimes rough running especially on the colder days.

If you have questions about importing to Belgium, I can help. I've done it without any major issue's to be honest.

Greetings Jo

Hi Joris, yes it was for sale ( new house ... ) but I did not post on the Dutch forum only autoscout / kapaza.

I had quite some interest but after answering the first phone call I realised that I did not want to sell this car.

We found other solution and it should be off-line now.

Hi Jotie,

nice combination, V6 TB in Spider. In Germany we can´t buy that combination, that was only available for the GTV. So I have to buy Spider and GTV :D

Wonderful car with very low kilometers. That is my favorite alfa color and original 916 wheels. If I decide to respray my car in different color one day it should be this :).

I will make one correction - there isn't 145 Q4. You probably mean 145 QV (Quadrifoglio Verde).

Did you think about installing of front strut brace? On the Spider this is very good upgrade from what I have read. It improve stiffness of the chassis notably.

- Wiechers steel strut bar

- Weichers aluminium strut brace

Look at the customers reviews.

Indeed a rare appearance a turbo v6 spider.

but you do have the most beautiful color out there on a spider.

has you spider also a blue leather interior?

My mistake, it was 145 quadriofolio and not Q4. The spider has indeed blue leather interior, I thought about the strutbrace but never actually did it.
