I see you've made an essential upgrade of the car.....flirt horns(as we call them in Sweden), scares the shit out of girls at red light crosswalks.

Ok, so the car is in the garage for the last few months. Haven't driven it at all. A couple of weeks ago, I've started removing the LPG installation (the GTV has reached full project car status ) and replaced all gaskets and seals I could without removing the heads. I have cleaned the valve covers and heads of all the gunk inside (Selenia) and adjusted the valves. Spark plug gaskets were shot and leaked oil into the spark plug wells, not a nice thing to do I have an almost complete set of engine gaskets so I've changed all I could at the moment. Cams were inspected and they are fine for now. All the chrome pipes were cleaned and polished. Injectors were changed for Bosch 0 280 150 701 (166 3.0), all nuts and bolts were replaced with inox counterparts (except the M7 bolts, will get titanium ones soon). All cables, wires, grounds were cleaned/changed. Got some new conduit, etc. I still need to get all new connector boots for the injectors and other stuff. All wire looms were cleaned and retaped with textile tape. Pipes and hoses were removed (still need to work on the bottom part) and cleaned. I've replaced all clips and clamps. Will be getting new silicone hoses in the near future. The valve covers, plenum, front black plate, fuel rails and other metal bits were powdercoated. The sump will be removed, inspected and cleaned. I have ordered a new expansion tank, so will be changing that too. Will be getting a TH05H-12B soon but it doesn't have the original downpipe, so I'm looking for one as it's a bit of a problem in fabricating one without driving 60km without an exhaust. Well, I do need to make some new pipes, so who knows Which pipe diameter should be ok to use for the downpipe? As I've noticed, MHI turbos had a smaller diemeter downpipe? Should 2,5" be good? I will change the exhaust from the downpipe, remove the cat part and straight to the back. Any suggestions? Oh yes, and I'll replace the heat insulation panel from the engine this week. It has seeen better days. New ignition cables and distributor cap are in the works too. So, yes, it will be an interesting winter (btw, 15°C yesterday). 1st cylinder sensor that was shot will be changed today and hopefully the car will start this week This is the current state. Still a lot to do.

Hello Guys, I am currently finishing off a 1996 Alfa Romeo GTV that I purchased from a friend of mine last 2012. I would like to share this to all. I know some of you may not like what I did to the alfa but remember I got this in a much worst shape from the previous owner. I just love this alfa body that I had to do some justice into it and make it my personal toy. The project started off with a running car with a lot of wrong parts on the car. To start off is that the engine was replaced with a Toyota 3SGE 3rd generation engine and the suspension were converted from different parts from any Japanese car. More parts were not in place and were converted if ever. For short it was in a mess and desecrated. As you know, alfa romeo was here sometime in the 90's and brought in these GTV's. There are still some running units but rarely would you see anything running or in the best condition. So I contracted my friends car shop and worked on the alfa romeo. We first worked on the engine by replacing it with a modified Toyota 3SGTE 4th generation engine that came from a Supra. With further modifications on the engine the horsepower is now around 330hp. I wanted to rebuild the alfa V6 2.0 turbo that was in it but it could not be found anymore. The Toyota engine was rebuilt from scratch with new bearings, rings, etc.. I would believe that this is the only alfa romeo with such an engine in the world. It was repiped with front intercoolers, BOVs, Wastgates, Malfassi Fuel Regulator, Wahlbro fuel pump, Oil intercooler, twin Remus Exhaust system, custom fabricated 3-in stainless steel exhaust system, etc etc The car was repainted to original alfa specs with Duponts. The interiors are reupholstered leather seats by a famous reupholsterer in the Philippines. The gauges on top are from Sgear that shows 4 types of reading per dial. Eonon car stereo and back up cameras were also installed, Sparco seat belts, etc etc. The 16-in mags are stock but have Federal 595SS semi slick tires on them. I am still waiting for the delivery of the Koni Sports tuned shocks. No lowering springs were ordered because the roads in the Philippines are not that great. In addition, the aircon condenser is located underneath besides the transmission and comes from a Japanese van. Additional fans are also located at the bottom that sucks out air from underneath the engine. I am still NOT finished on car project as I am replacing the discs, placing a specially fabricated front strut bar, rear strut bars, Cadamuro spoilers, etc.. I would not recommend that you do this if you don't have the time, engineering skills and a specialized machine shop besides your car shop/garage and a wife who is monitoring your bank account. The project started last August 2012. The car is very much driveable nowadays but I am still waiting for some of the parts to arrive from all over Europe. The drive on this alfa will push you back to your seat because of the power to weight ratio and the racing clutch that were installed. See pictures. if you wish to know more of the project let me know. I have full pictures of the project from start to finish. Thank you guys. more power to the members. Bobby

Was very busy on my other cars....... My alfa gtv engine has been set up with new mods... Evo 8 560cc Fuel Injectors, 2-SPAL 11-in fans, 3-Rows full size aluminum radiators, new radiator stainless steel pipes and H&R Springs. the fuel injectors were registering 650cc to 700cc amazing though we didn't need that much for now but when I upgrade the internals of the turbo we may eventually need to tap them. Attached are the transition of the engine bay. I believe you can guess which is stage 1 to 3. Other projects in the works are: Engine strut bars and lower braces, new 18-in mags, zender rear wings, side skirts, front and rear fenders. carbon bucket seats, etc. Note: most of what is being done here are custom fabrications
