I don't think they are too hard to find normally around £60. I have the tan door pockets in gtv I think they finish off the door nicely. I Real fancy a red dash and door cards one thing I have never had. Will xmas round the corner they will have too be put on hold 🙄 ........for now 😂

Not really had a lot of time over xmas to play with the 916s. The weathers not been great. My daily driver decided to stop working on xmas eve eve and won't start🙄

 

got it a good xmas present though 👍

 

Been casually  playing with the interior, still on the lookout for a good condition red dash and door cards, the door cards seem to be mostly damaged but in the mean time I have vinyl wrapped a few suttle interior bits and fitted the red door pockets and inserts after cleaning down. 😎

 

 

 

I also bought some mat black 18 jetfin a bit of a impluse buy really as they need a refurb however silver car with black wheels looks cool 😎

Well my spider is all sort, on xmas eve it would turn over but not start, very strange as my spider always starts first time every time so it was a bit of a shock, after fitting a new crank shaft sensor its all sorted and running perfect again. The front coilovers are knocking? I need to adjust the rear ride height as a little to low at the back.

 

A little update on the j10, the new interior has arrived, I decided against just the red leather seats and door card inserts, and go for it so I have just bought a red dashand red door cards a treat for my birthday 😂, it will take some fetteling as it's a ph2 dash but I will be fitting the ph1 autodelta centre console once refurb and recoloured black 😎 Here's a pic of the red door cards 

I cleaned the new dash down aswell and stripped all the ph2 bits off, my ph1 centre console fits however it's not quite as wide as the ph2 centre console so two small holes show and that will really annoy me 😳🙄😂

 

plus the top of the dash and door cards are a faded from the sun so will need to sort this aswell as my OCD would cope with this 😂

 

the alcantura still needs recolouring black but think it will look great once it's done.👍🤞

So Doorcards are done, I went with the gloss back rather than recolour alcantura for now with the door pocket, I transferred over a/d tweeter after vinyl wrapping the pocket and section around the door handles

 

the reds going to look nice against the silver

Thanks, well my red spider has been busy eating up those motorway miles. Now over 100k and enjoying every minute!! I think I'm going to take the coilovers off as the front as knocking bad now. I might have to remove the 19s too 😂 and go with 16s or 17s as it my daily driver and doing 55 miles a day, Coilovers and 19s aren't good for your back 😂

 

the red spider has its mot booked in for the end of the month and I can't find much todo, I'm going to fit new discs n pads and replace the passenger side cv joint as it's just started clicking on full lock, other than that she is good Togo, I probably shouldn't be to confident on a 21 year old Italian car......but I am 😂 To be fair very little advisories over the last few years, she is powerflexed rear end, full stainless steal exhaust and did all the wishbones and driplinks last year so fingers cross 🤞

 

The j10 spider is still in my garage struggling to get the time to pay, the vinyl wrap is a nightmare and it's taking forever to get the last bits off now, found a new method to remove it..... a steam gun, Evan when I have removed the wrap I then have to clean of the vinyl glue with glue gone and it feels like it taking forever

  however it will look so much better, I might miss the sparkle though 🙄😂

I ordered two front trw shocks after reading a lot of good reviews on Alfa owners, only £100 each and I have just fitted them and have to say they are better than my oem I had originally fitted however they were on 90k so passed their best, these need shocks really have made a massive difference to the ride quality.

 

The front pads were getting low yet the backs were still like new, I thought why not upgrade the front discs to, so went with new pagid pads and drilled n grooved discs 😎

 

After spending s small fortune I should really be spending my money on the j10 however I seen a set of alloys for sale that don't come up very often, I wanted to go with 17s and love this style as it very Alfa Romeo and quite rare 👍

 

So what 17 inch oem alloys have I bought for my spider??? 😋🤔😜

Well in for a mot and despite the tester commenting on how clean the underside is my daily driver spider failed! 🙄

 

1) The 19s rubbin on full lock, so I will be fitting the 17 cloverleaf alloys.

2) Exhaust has a major leak of gases, looking under the car where the ss system joins the cat looks like the bolts have loosened and I can feel the leak, a matter of refitting and tightening up, mot tester said once I sort the leak it will pass the lamba test so not too bad however...

3) service brake efficiently below requirement, when I asked about this he said they now test brakes individually and the rears failed, he said most likely seized as the front do all the work.

 

so I have just ordered a caliper rebuild kit for bother rears, when the parts arrive I will book a day off work, swap the wheels over, re connect the exhaust and seal. Then rebuild the rear calipers. I have ten days for the re test.

 

Not bad for a 21 year old Italian sports car with 100k on the clock 👍

All sorted and booked in for the mot retest next week, I have fitted my new 17inch cloverleaf alloys the ride is so much better a joy to drive no more back ache 😂 And bargain at £250, since the wheels are silver I decided to go back to silver look on the grill to match, after sourcing a phase one grill I resprayed it silver and fitted a new style Alfa badge, I think it's looks modern oem look 😜

 

 

I quickly debadged the rear aswell not 100% looks clean I still got to remove the glue, might move the spiderbadge on the light strip like as seen on this forum.

Well today was a sad day I sold my Rosso spider 😞 it was my daily driver and I was forever maintaining her doing 13k miles a year and gave me no free time for my j10 spider so I let her go 😢

 

 My little boy wasn’t happy when the new owner drove the spider away, 😭😭😭 he started shouting “me love that car daddy!” “Me love that car!” 😂 a proper Alfaholic at the age of 3🤣😂🤣

Well guys eventually managed to source a silver mint boot to replace the Subaru Impreza style Spoiler boot 😂 and I had to buy a replacement clam shell panel as the vinyl wrap had bonded with the paint thankfully only in this area of the car. When I tried removing the wrap it just peeled up the paint, yet the wrap has protected the paint in nearly all other areas of the car.

the red dash and door cards are in but I think the alcantura is to dirty with stains to save, I’m having a go a spraying the grey black and see how it turns out.

 

feels like I’m making progress the aim is to have her finish for summer 2019 as I’m already missing my red spider.
