Spider in car show

I was very pleased to have been asked to enter  my Spider in the Shannon's Country Classic Motor Show this weekend. Shannon's are an Australian auction and Insurance company specialising in classic and enthusiast cars and bikes.

It has created a lot of interest ------especially when the hood is raised to display the beautiful V6 engine.

Cool! I'm a little confused, though. Your Spider looks fantastic, the right body and interior color and my favorite rims, but is it car show material in Australia? I know most Italians cars are valued a little higher over there but I'm still wondering :)

Suppose those chrome inlet pipes and the soothing lack of plastic covers in the engine bay really caught people's attention, regardless of my confusion

Thanks for your comments guys.

I know what your thinking Filip but it isn't a motor show in the true sense where manufacturers display there latest and greatest.

This is an opportunity for enthusiasts to show there cars to an admiring public who may never get the chance to attend the major motor shows in Sydney or Melbourne. This show is open to almost anything with an engine. Australia is a very small market for cars by world standards but, despite this, over the years we have had nearly every make represented on the market so there is always an interesting mix of cars on display---------American Muscle Cars------ Mustangs, Cameros, Corvettes. Many English and European makes------ Gull Wing Mercedes, Aston Martin. A  model T Ford, Di Dion, Citroen 2CV. Drag Racers, Hot Rods, Speedway cars and many many more, including Police Highway Patrol Pursuit cars and bikes.

The Alfa Romeo brand in this country is admired and respected and is viewed by some as an exotic brand. Just recently, the distribution of Alfa Romeo in Australian has been taken over by Chrysler who have a strong dealer group.

Very nice!

To all Australians: I need You to find every possible brochure or any list of Australian-market limited editions. Even though i suspect they are more marketing then real oriented, unlike the european-market limited editions. But still it's one thing missing from my knowledge. Thanks
