Hi friends i'm telling you that my spider (2.0 ts giallo zoe blue style interior with blue electric hood) little mods that i made it.This is the car when i bought it.It has a ph1 wheels and ph1 grill (I dont know why because the car is a ph2 from the year 2000) The first mod was change the ph1 wheels for the selespeed 17inch wheels, when i was changing the wheels i had a good surprise the car has novitec springs and a new suspension 😊 The second thing was spray the calipers in giallo zoe and mount the lip of the seat leon cupra and put the original ph2 grill. The 3rd mod was mount kit xenon ligths and change all the interior lights, plates lights and position lights to led lights The last mod was mount 20mm rear spacers and 16mm at front and change de selespeed rims to a gt sport wheels with 225/45/17 uniroyal tires (the old tires was 215/45/17)and this is the result today i'm thinkin to change the rear exshaust to a v6 turbo exshaust to have a less silencer.

Also the exhaust tip needs to be replaced as it's very ugly the car sounds great for a twinny but it's just so ugly so thinking a nice twin exhaust. I fitted one of the front coilovers today and like the stance on the lowest settings with 10mm spacers.

the basalt fiber I bought from ebay. (you could also buy carbon fiber insted, but basalt is a lot cheaper to lern ) You build the parts exactly in the same way as carbon fiber. With a mold an vacuum. But for the dasboard I had not big enough bags for vacuum, so I did it with weights. f.E. http://www.ebay.ch/itm/151395472573?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT One of my next projects ist to get rid of the heavy roof. and rebuild it with basalt. I calculated the weight of the roof around 11kgs. Seams worthwile. And for your question , it is a diy job yes. but needs a lot of work and time. And for the first time better try little parts as I did before. This saves you time an d money^^ The dash tooked me around a week. but I'm still in the learning process. I think the roof could be done in one weekend.
