Jolly good ole boy !!Tell me more, what engine does she have?
The title of the topic is a bit of a give away ;-)
3.0 24v , much smoother then the 12v. I have to drive it a bit harder to see what the exact difference is.
The 12v seems to have more of an attitude.

I have recently purchased a stunning GTV in France. 2001 and only 32000 km, full service history.
She is Alfa Rosso with black leather.
My planning for the coming month :
18 Inch Sienna wheels
Custom made exhaust with a butterfly valve
Cup kit
Lowering the suspension
VW Golf R32 style Recaro bucket seats ( converted to Alfa with embroided logo and new style leather )
Custom dials
Black centre panel
Xenon conversion
Work starts next week, when I recieve my Dutch registration number and can get the plates made.
I will keep this topic updated every now and then. Off course with detailed pictures.

Haha, congrats then! Can't wait to see new topic :)Sent from my Alfa RomeoNew topic is coming up soon. New car is a new topic. This will actually not be my car. My other half will be driving it to work. In the weekend I will confiscate it.

beauitful car mr evo... how did u get the phase 2 centre console in a 98 car? mine is the phase 1 style...This is a Ph2. 1998 was the year that Ph2 was introduced. Phase 1 never had the red style and did not have climate control. And some other details, like fully color coded bumpers and side skirts. Production date November 1998.

I don't get it, have you bought the french GTV in the end?Sent from my Alfa RomeoYes sir. I could not resist.
-
We now have a serious buyer. I am kind of happy, because I have just seen my painted cup kit, ready to go on to the GTV. I am not fitting the wings, because I do not like them. A Cup minus the wings.
A new suspension set up, new exhaust, 18 Inch Sienna's and she is done. Untill I think of the next modification.
Tomorrow the GTV will undergo a test in order to apply for a Dutch registration number. Then within a week or so, the car has it's Dutch plates en the fun begins!
I will keep you updated.

I like your current wheels. The are the Ph.3 wheels. I would happily fit those under my Spider ( with a huge sence of pride actually )
Those 111-DC remind me of Lamborghini wheels. Sharp and edgy.
What tyre set up are you thinking about?
I would keep it black, the two tone does not fit the black theme so well. Black looks mean!

Scrumptious!

I have had an offer to trade in a Clio 2.0 16v Renaultsport. The one with the new style headlights. 172 bhp I believe. Convert it to a track car. But then I commit to yet another project.
Next please!

I love the black paint with the red lettering.
Red and black is also very tasty!

You are welcome ;-)

do not start talking about the problem of language in belgium ...you will always find someone who speak English and Belgian club alfa has many Dutch member
I mean in that region. It surprises me that even 2 km into Wallonië they do not speak any foreign languages anymore.
Off course on the track they do. I do not mind, I speak French.
The event is very well organized and international.

I had to Google Iso Grifo. Never seen 1 of those eitherI'll defo be making the effort to attend in the cup. I'm just in the process of updating the suspension and exhaust, so watch out on the thread
I will subscribe to the thread. Where else do I get info for my Cup look alike?
Iso Grifo. Italian body with a US engine. 7 liter engine. Also in a slightly tamer version. Such a great design. A lot of German's attend with some mean cars.
Bring your French dictionary. In that part of Belgium they refuse to speak anything other then French. I guess they want to be French. But France does not want them ;-)

Never thought of going to spa until now. I asked the misses if she would like to go, she says "if you don't drive like a loon" I said " oh forget it, it's not your cup of tea anyway !!"Less weight in the car is a +
You will love it. Lambo's, Ferrari's, Alfa's, Lancia's and even rare stuff like Iso Grifo's.
The track is so amazing. See you there Andy.

I do not know the answer. But the thought of a 3.0 TB makes me smile from ear to ear.

This is such a nice GTV. I would love for my GTV to look like this.

Now I saw the dials and they look great . I have one remark about cooling temperature dial. On original graphic there is two line without numbers and I think that they are for 70oC and 110oC, but I'm not sure about that. And they are closer to 50 and 130 than 90 degrees. If I'm right about these numbers, thats mean that the dial is non linear and it scale is more accurate around 90oC and charlee have to make revision for the future items .The running temperature is 80-90 degrees. Even on long trips. So the scaling is correct. The fuel gauge also works fine, just before it hits the red, the light goes on.

Where is that Gtv in France? Where did you find it?!!I don't think we saw this gtv on the forum, even in the web announcements on which everyone puts a public annoucement for the sell of an interesting gtv/spider!
It is at a Peugeot dealer. The previous owner traded it in on a Peugeot RCZ.
I stumbled on it by accident, whilst eating a baguette at a petrol station.
There is a price sign on the car, but no warranty, because of it's age.

I like the wheels. Tomorrow the weather seems to be fine. I am planning a trip to the port of Antwerp for some pictures.
The black OZ's look a bit more sinister. I like that look.

What wheels are you considering? 17 inch seems big enough.

Would he not take your car in part exchange? He is based in France. A straight import would be much easier.
Just had a buyer around for the Spider. I will think about his offer.
-
First I need to sell the Spider. If that does not sell, no GTV. No pressure there then...
I did my homework and went to see the GTV. I agreed with the seller to base my decision on the sale of the Spider. He has the GTV up for sale for some time now, so he understands.
I have a few inquiries about the Spider, someone coming to see the car today. If he does not buy it, I will have to revise my strategy.
The second hand market for Spiders is not so strong. Especially for the price I am asking.
We will have to wait and see. I did not want this GTV so be sold, so that is why I went to see the guy.
One car needs to go, before I can afford to buy another one.
-
Alfa Rosso. I agreed with the guy that he holds it until Saturday. She smells like a new one. The leather is like new. I could not find one thing wrong with it. France is a treasure cove when it comes to Alfa's.

Your seasonal transformations of this car are incredible. Looks just as good in all black as it did with the other 19" rims
I agree. This is just drop dead gorgeous.

True, it picks up faster but is out of breath faster. I need to trash the pants out of it soon. Then you will receive some useful info.
