Welcome Jon, that is a tasty pair of 916's. Welcome to the Squadra 916 forum. Here where many nationality's come together.
I can highly recommend a V6. A GTV is perhaps the best 916 to have a V6 in.
Anyway, enjoy the Alfa talk.

I have recently bought a 75. If anyone is interested, I can show you guys the semi restoration over the coming months. I am not doing it myself, apart from some easy to do jobs.
I was planning on sharing, but not sure if it is appreciated on a 916 forum

Great looking spider! Show us 75
It is not photo ready yet. I needs to shine! And it needs a dutch license plate.

Looks like a top powdercoat job. Look forward to seeing them on the car.

Stop....spanner time! Congratulations.

Looks about right. Funny picture, I guess she lost the ring ;-)

Good job C. I will go knock myself out this weekend giving it a try.

A dozen shades of Rosso in your introduction made me laugh ;-)
Are you doing the technical stuff yourself in the garage? Congratulations with your new man cave ;-))

Off course I have been around for a while, but I have never properly introduced my car.
This 1998 V6 was bought for parts and it was never my intention to keep it. Over time this
V6 grew on my, and I could not take it apart. It has a real character,I the morning it is a little
grumpy and it takes some warming up before she likes to work for you.
In the last few months I have invested huge amounts of money to keep her in tip top shape. Something that has not gone down here in the household. Until my partner drove the car and she understands the situation and the car now.
Now, she runs like a Spider V6 should and she has proven to be very reliable. I was planning on storing her for the winter, but my garage is getting a bit short on space. My Alfa 75 needs to be inside, so the Spider needs to be parked outside. After taking some measurements, If I take out the workbench, I can squeeze in the 75 and the Spider. But I like to drink my morning coffee, looking at the 75. Although she carries a hefty petrol fragrance.
To make a long story short, my V6 is from 1998, has done 250k and is Alfa Nero with a Red Style interior. She is equipped with a full Zender exhaust, 17 Inch Zender Sienna wheels and since last weekend, she has a Wiesmann hardtop. Possibly the best buy ever! This makes the Spider winter proof, I now have rear window heating and it is so quiet in the cabin.
Today I have taken the Spider on a long trip, because the 939 needed a service. Very comfortable and the fuel economy surprised me.
I needed to stop for some inner fuel, not for petrol ;-)
The car is tidy enough for my taste, I have only a few modifications to do to make her my dream Spider. In the coming months, the 75 will get my attention so my other Spider needs to wait for a while. There is no room for a mistress ;-)
The wheels have been refurbished, I want to get an Alcantara ventre console with red stitching and make the centre console ( the silver part ) piano lacquer black with a red Alfa Romeo logo. I want to do a brake upgrade with red calipers and then she is finished.
I will keep you updated over the coming months.

Welcome! Blimey, your blue GTV is low indeed. Do you have many UFO sightings in your area? When this fly's by, I would look twice.
Enjoy the Alfa talk!

All the good wheels are so far away. What a shame. Good luck selling them.

Looks amazing! May I " borrow" this idea for my Spider?

Welcome Ata,
Nice cars you have. That picture of the 156 on the brick road is amazing!

Many members seem to be in winter sleep ;-)
It is much better to make the forum visible, or sections of the forum, for members that actually log in.
I guess this comment should be dropped in the suggestion box.

I am curious how they look on the Spider. They look amazing on a 997 Turbo.
My guess is you go for the dark grey finish.
Joris, do you still have the door rubbers? I could use some fresh ones ;-)

Yes I've had the seats/doorcards/gators repaired and recoloured and the steering wheel recovered with plain and perforated leather, red stitching too. The old ph1 steering wheel was too far gone.
I also took out the centre consul, wet sanded it and sprayed it matt black. Have custom red and black floor mats now too.
Together with the " tele dial " wheels, it looks a very tidy Spider.
The 156 is lovely. Red is the color for a 156.

Welcome Dave, the red interior looks pretty good, I even see some red stitching on the steering wheel. I am not a big fan of the exposed audio.
Enjoy the forum en enjoy your Bella.
