  2. Alfa Romeo GTV 1.8 TS

Hi guys, I'll make myself a topic here aswell. You can see my introduction topic here: http://www.squadra916.com/forums/topic/2982-nasa-from-belgium/ So I have a Fase II GTV 1.8 TS in the color Grigio Chiaro with 150.000 kms now (bought her in 2009 with 120.000). I've already done some mods to it. This is how the car looked when I picked her up: Progress I've made so far: * I've replaced the driver's door because someone keyed it * QV Stickers * New Scudetto + logo (old ones were worn) * T-Rex exhaust tip * White side indicators * Alfa Romeo carpets (black/red) * Fase I black leather interior * New handbrake and shifter gaiters (black with creme stitching) * Pioneer radio/CD/MP3 * Zender Handbrake * Zender Gear Knob * Street performance air intake chrome * Race grooved braking discs in the front * Red calipers with white Alfa Romeo stickers * Alfa Romeo Selespeed 17 inch rims * 20 mm spacers in the rear * Novitec 40 mm lowering springs * Powerflexed the rear bushes Plans for the future are currently: Novitec exhaust and new tires Further suggestions for updates are always welcome . This is how she looks right now: This pic was taken during the replacement, my car isn't that messy
  3. Alfa Romeo GTV 1.8 TS

I have absolutely no idea mate. Mine sounds pretty raw above 3000 RPM too, but it's still comfortable enough to drive normally. Also I could use some advice... I have the possibility to buy a silver cup spoiler, but can't really make up my mind if I like it or not without a cup-kit (rims, fenders, skirts, front lip and such). What do you guys think? Should I go for it?
  4. Hello from Zagreb (Croatia)

Welcome here! I love the color!
  5. SIENA 18" 5x98 8J set in mint condition

According to this dutch website: http://www.marktplaats.nl/a/auto-onderdelen/alfa-romeo-onderdelen/m804787441-zender-siena-18-inch-8j-set-5-x-98-in-topstaat-alfa-velg.html?c=8c285449651fa109c354bbabe740c1b&previousPage=lr the wheels are reserved at the moment. Don't know if they are sold yet tho...
  6. Alfa Romeo GTV 1.8 TS

Nope, the second little muffler isn't straight behind the first one. Between the first and second there's a little bend to the left, where the second muffler starts. If you enlarge the fitting picture you can see both mufflers
  7. Cup 138 Looking Good

Amazing color mate! Keep it up!
  8. Alfa Romeo GTV 1.8 TS

Wow, it's been quite some time since I've posted here Had some work done to my baby in the last couple of months! To start with, I replaced the front tires because the previous ones were in bad shape . I have Federal 595 SS tires in the front now. In addition to that I've had the car aligned. The rear shocks are changed and I replaced the Novitec springs with APEX springs. The starter is fixed (had some problems with it) and I fitted a new thermostat aswell. I'm probably forgetting a few things too.. The biggest upgrade is without a doubt my new exhaust system! I've got a custom made exhaustline fitted that starts at the cat, all the way back to the endpipes. Only two mufflers remain now. The sound is amazing! Comfortable under 3000 RPM and real agressive above! The complete line is made out of stainless steel, so I won't have to worry about any rust or anything. As you can see, it was necessary! I've hit a bump in the road a while back with that muffler and it started to rust and disintegrate. This was during the fitting: Final result:

  11. Alfa Romeo GTV 1.8 TS

Thnx for the positive reactions and the picture on the facebookpage guys, means a lot! Thinking about a new update. I'll soon be needing new tires for my front wheels. Personally I was considering Pirelli Pzero Rosso Asymmetrico's. Can anyone comment on those? I've never driven Pirelli PZero's. The profile looks like this:
  12. Alfa Romeo GTV 1.8 TS

Had a photoshoot saturday together with Silver18! Here are a couple of pictures (I've got 68 pics, so won't post them all). It was an amazing day and what a magnificent location to take carpictures. Insane!
  13. GTV 3.2 V6 24V - credulone

I'm in love! This is how a GTV should look like: black exterior, red interior and an awesome V6! (or red exterior and black interior is nice too )
  14. New to the forum and GTVs!

    Welcome and happy hunting!
  15. 916 v Ferrari 360 v Lamborghini Gallardo

A little bit offtopic, but it seemed retarted to open a new topic for this . Had my F430 trackexperience yesterday, damn what a car! 490 HP and F1 gear box. I realy had a blast! This was my first time on a track, so the first couple of rounds were a bit apprehensive . Especially considering the fact that I was surrounded by other F430's, a 458, 2 Gallardo's, an Aston, R8, Porsche GT3,... Wouldn't want to hit one of those The feeling was surreal, afterwards it felt like I've had been driving for only a few seconds!
  16. Alfa Romeo GTV 1.8 TS

I don't exactly know which brand my spacers are, I bought them from a forummember on the dutch 916register. They are aluminium and you just place them directly on the hub, put over the wheel, use the delivered longer wheelbolts and tighten them. I think those are the one's: http://shop.alfisti.net/Tuning-Styling/Alfa-147/Spoorverbrederes/Aluminium-Spoorverbreders-2x-20-mm-incl-bouten::1047.html To give you an idea, this is how they are mounted onto my hub: Furthermore I have some news about the GTV. The plans for the exhaust are delayed as I had the opportunity to buy some usefull stuff for a very reasonable price. My right door is a little bit damaged and found one in exactly the same color for 20 euro's and in much better shape than mine is now! I also reserved new doorseals, rear bumper with space for a 2X2 exhaust, new mirror (broke mine during washing a couple of months back ), new caps for the speakers in the doors, ... Afterwards I'll probably buy some new tires and the exhaust will be for after the winter when I have enough budget to buy 100% what I want.
  17. My favourite cars of other Marques

For that price you can soon buy a 4C and some additional options And if I had to choose between a 4C and an A Class AMG, I wouldn't have to think hard about it Besides that, judging by looks (can't say anything about the rest cause I haven't driven one yet), the A Class improved tremendously compared to their predecessor.
  18. 916 v Ferrari 360 v Lamborghini Gallardo

Awesome video and experience! I've driven a Ferrari 360 Modena with a voucher too. That one had a stickshift and I really enjoyed the 30 minute drive on the open road. Next week I'm going to try out the F430 with paddle shift gear box on a circuit. Really looking forward to this! I'm curious if there will be a big difference between the 360 and F430. I'll post the video's on here too once they're finished
  19. Alfa Romeo GTV 1.8 TS

Charlee, you're more than crazy about the 916 . I am really, really in love with your interior DAYUM!
  20. Newbie saying hi from the UK

Nice gz! Looking forward to the pics!
  21. Alfa Romeo GTV 1.8 TS

Thnx! Haha, No axel stands indeed. But I've got 1 big garagejack (about 3000kg), one little jack and my wheel under there with some boards. So if 1 jack fails, there's another one, and if that one fails there's the wheel too. So worst case scenario: my wheel would be a little damaged. Haven't got any axel stands atm About the Novitec exhaust... I found out that they are without muffler, so it's only a pipe basically... Now, that isn't allowed in my country. Chances are they won't pass me at the annual vehicle inspection. So I'm thinking about maybe replacing the original muffler with a BiscioneRacing one (from Ragazzon): http://shop.alfisti.net/Tuning-Styling/Alfa-GTV-Spider/Sportuitlaten/BiscioneRacing-RVS-einddemper-2x80::3020.html Any thoughts? Anyone here has mounted one of these and could tell me something about it? Rly would like a more sporty sound. Up untill now I have the Streetperformance Airbox and my cat is empty to enhance the sound.
  22. Alfa Romeo GTV 1.8 TS

Thnx for the elaborate replies @ Filip: I think the ET is 40,5 (that's what I found on the net ). Front wheels looked ok, but in the rear they fell too much to the inside. To give you an idea: On this picture the Selespeeds were fitted without any spacers: As you can see they were more than necessary . I love the selespeeds too, they're pretty rare on a 916. And still not that expensive. I'm still in college so my budget to work with isn't that high. About the gaiters: I've ordered them on ebay in the shop 'topgaiters': http://stores.ebay.nl/TOP-GAITERS-BOOTS . They deliver an awesome service. Quick delivery, cheap and quality goods! They have various other leather details for our beloved 916's . The Novitec suspension is pretty decent. No complaints here whatsoever. Ofc it's a little stiffer than the original ones, but I daily drive my car and it's fine with me. I can imagine some people can be annoyed by it, but I didn't buy the GTV for comfort . I'll explain more in my answer towards Kunev. @ Kunev: Thnx mate, a lot of questions from you . To start with the door: a friend of mine from the 916register (dutch forum) had various parts from a GTV he stripped and it happened to be the same color as mine. So I just bought a new door from him for a little price and had that fitted instead of getting the door resprayed (would have costed me more). The original wheels that were on my GTV when I bought it were 15 inch Lusso wheels from a 156. Can't remember the tire size tho. They weren't very comfy because the inside of the rim could hit one of the brake lines. 15 inch was a little too small for the car I think . The Street Performance Air Intake Chrome is a replacement for the original air filter like a BMC CDA for example. The BMC was a little out of my price range so I started searching for an alternative. I knew someone who worked with Alfa's and he recommended this one as a few of his friends had that intake and were satisfied. This is the one: (I only used the box and re-used the original pipes): It's also fitted on the spot where the original air intake is located. About the Novitec springs: I bought them thinking they were 40 mm and the guy that sold it to me confirmed it. I've got a picture with the 17 inch selespeeds, the original springs and shocks and it looked horrible: To give you an idea how high she looked then: You can see the after pics in my original posts or in my garage. The tires are 50 in height. I know they're a little too high, but they will be replaced before december. The alignment will follow after I fitted new tires. The powerflex rubbers were fitted only about a month ago . I've already found a Novitec exhaust and a Grigio Chiaro 612/A rear bumper with space for the right part of the exhaust. Haven't bought them yet, but negotiating at the moment . I'm hoping everything goes well

  25. Nasa from Belgium

Hi everyone! I'm Nasa, 22 years old (turning 23 in 3 weeks ) and living near Brussels, Belgium. For as long as I can remember I'm a huge fan of Italian cars: Ferrari and Alfa Romeo to be more specific. My love for the 916 model started a while back when I was about 14 years old. At the time I saw a documentary on the television about a dude that owned a black GTV. I instantly knew I wanted one! At the age of 18 I drove around in a blue Citroën C2 1.1 SX to practice driving a little bit and to get used to traffic . Not even a year after that I ditched the Citroën en bought the Alfa GTV 1.8 TS that I own up untill today. So, a little bit more about the GTV: The color is Grigio Chiaro and she has run about 149.000 km's by now (bought her with 120.000 km's). I've already done some mod's to it: - QV-stickers - White side indicators - Black and red carpets - Fase I black leather in mint condition - Pioneer radio unit - Street Performance Cold Air intake Chrome - Grooved Racing discs in the front with red calipers including the Alfa Romeo stickers - Alfa Romeo 17" Selespeeds - 20 mm wheelspacers (rear) - Novitec +/- 40 mm lowered (springs) - Part of the rear suspension is powerflexed (rest of the rear suspension is planned for next month) - Brand new belts, water pump, oil, ... Enough of the talking, here are some pics: And as a bonus by far one of the best car experiences I've ever had: A spin in my dreamcar: a Ferrari 360 Modena: In august I'm going to drive a few laps on the circuit of Mettet with a Ferrari F430! Cheers!
