Lol, so I've been told on many occasions! Cheers!
I'd been wondering where mine stands in the "big power" ranks! So far I've only found a few 300 bhp V6's and one Twin-engined V6 with a combined output of 600 bhp
Yeah, we did scratch our heads over where to mount the air filter. It's current location seems to be fine though. It didn't show any loss of bhp on the dyno, compared to it's previous location in the Coupe (on the fender). The heat shield shown in the photo seems to be doing its job shielding the filter from the engine to one side, and the gearbox underneath.
So if the TB washer bag is in the boot, does that mean it has even less boot space then then all the other models?!
So the GTV is a bit heavier? That might explain why I thought it felt a bit slower off-boost...
Cheers. Yep, Coupe gearbox (with viscodrive) and driveshafts. Working out the drivetrain was a nightmare. Ended off using Coupe subframe, wishbones, shocks and springs, and (IIRC) Lancia Delta Integrale track rod ends. And I can't remember exactly what hub flanges. One of the several different V6 flanges, I think.
The car is my daily driver, so I tuned the engine for good road manners; smooth idle, strong midrange torque and good drivability off-boost. Foot flat to the floor though, it is a torque-steering SOB! Hard to keep in a straight line. That problem might be solved with polybushes in the front wishbones though. I'll have to see in the future.
