I made the deal on the phone, and a week later, back from work, on the road to Brussels.

The seller was a weird guy, not even the owner, mmmh!

The car was sat along the wall with a nice alfa spider cover post-75-0-73724900-1333536854_thumb.jpg

Cover off post-75-0-97825600-1333537096_thumb.jpg Arrrgh!

Oil, coolant, brake fluid, tyres, lights, aso... OK. Start engine... Good! A bit too fast 1100 rpm, but no noise.

Road test, OK, except a very rough gearbox :((but I knew it was just the clutch, sssh!)

Complete Alfa service book + bonus post-75-0-03260900-1333539103_thumb.jpg

Well, well, we need to discuss... 1/2 an hour later: 1 grand off! :happy0045:

After a hot night in Gand, back to France.

10/2010, when I picked my baby up from Brussels :)Not easy with a dead battery at the -6th floor

Soon, the rest of the story... :hello:

post-75-0-09285400-1333602996_thumb.jpg Goodridge, Ferodo 2500s & Motul 600 racing to stop the car

Clutch, oil seals, flywheel have been done later... Perfect!

1st modification, Remus rear pipe instead of the genuine back box... as I said earlier: "amazing hoarse sound" :happy0045:

16.5 cm, with a large magnet and a rubber protection, that's why I have been obliged to grind down a bit.

Next step: I am trying to fit a strong subwoofer insteed of the rear "loud" speaker -_-

What size is that sub?

I recently fitted an 8" Alpine sub there, it's not a straight fit but it's doable (will post pictures soon).

Anyway, try not to go above 8" in diameter and from the picture that sub is also way to deep.

The only good thing is that my son has quite nothing: the greatest fear of his life and a few medical clips in the head.

A car is just a car! Nothing compared to a life.

KEEP SAFE DRIVING GUYS !!!

OMG! :( :( :(

Possible rolling in a Spider give me the creeps. Good to hear that there was no serious injuries.

I hope you'll get a new one soon!

I'm so sorry :( It's really sad to see her like this. Judging from the photos, it definitely is the end of the story, I'm afraid...

You can always get another and like you said, it's nothing compared to a life. Hopefully, your son will learn something from this...

What happened exactly?

Im glad your son is OK but so sorry your baby is gone. Is a pity to see a Spider gone like this. I hope you'll replace it with another one or with something even better! Old loves are forgotten with new ones.

The important thing is that your son is ok.

The car is just a piece of metal after all, even if sometimes we appreciate it more that we should.

Help your son to get over it. Most of the times a car accident makes you a more considerate driver.
