My Gtv V6 TB restoration :)

54 posts in this topic

Hard to say under artificial light but colour looks not as dark as alfa rosso 130. I am curious how that will look in daylight as I am also going to respray my GTV in a brighter red than orginal (130). Any pics outside?

At the moment no pics outiside :)

I'm curious too, I am waiting is finished.

Here you can see the color difference on a Giulietta.

since it's a tri-coat paint reflects both the lights and can seem completely different depending on the lights. :) In some photos under the sun I saw that the color becomes almost orange :)

Great color! Word of advice, loose the blow-off valve. It makes a nice 'woosh' sound when you switch gears, but that is it. It does not make the turbo-lag any shorter, it even makes your top speed lower (the valve will start leaking more and more by itself in high revs, loosing power), and it only blows dirty, greasy air all around your engine leaving everything covered in grease... the TB's inlet system is way too long for a blow-off valve to have any positive effect.

Thanks :)

@JOWI
 I was already planning to take it off.  Also because it covers a little engine sound in

throttle release. I will follow your advice. :D

@MOSKOVSKY
 It's a metallic tri-coat paint. The pearl effects comes by the middle coat.

Great color! I like that you removed all the badges.

Now: lower it + spacers or original Teledials :thumbsup:

Thanks. I am going to buy Yellow Koni sport.  I have also already bought Eibach Prokit springs. But I do not know if install them, because turbo down pipe are very low and there is the risk of touching everywhere. I have 215\45 tires. I love gta wheels, prefer them to teledials. I'm looking for these in the pic, but they are very rare...  Spacers in Italy are illegal... :(

Those Phase 3 wheels should be still available new from your dealer. I bought a spare wheel last year. If not, there's someone in Holland selling a used set.

Awesome!

Do you like the combo strongflex with the merc bushes?

Thanx Thanos. Yes i like it, for now they go very well. I did a few miles. The rear now follows the trajectories well. The Koni then are spectacular, it looks like another car than before.
