Alfa 33 1.7 16v / to play with..

I just love those boxer engines, just as addictive as the TB engine.

Delicious car, you will surely have a lot of fun with it

This little 33 is a joy on track. faster than any stock 3.2 for sure.

The engine is very powerful so nothing to modify there.

What it really needs is a roll cage, suspensions set up, better brakes and a LSD...

and martini racing stripes :)

To tell you the truth, what I wanted for the track was an alfa 75 but after driving this amazing 33 I don't regret my choice at all.

:) I understand that decision, I have my 33 1.7 i.E since 1998 and it makes still fun. It is my Alfa without any problems during the years and meanwhile it has nearly 200.000 kilometers (first engine never opened). Have fun!!

Good luck with this project  !

With what engine is she? I see prepared for racing interior and lightweight wheels (they are Superleggera, right), so you are ready for first laps on track  :D .

Waiting for future progress  :) .

Yes she is ready... But she needs some updates as I said.

The wheels are are not oz but team dynamics. They look and they weight almost the same.

The engine is a 1.7 16v.

Right now I am working on a new smaller alloy fuel tank.

Nice! I'm using Liqui Moly Race 10W-60 in my Twin Spark.

Congrats on the sponsorship.

In the meanwhile...

keep on testing.

Probably this was the last race for my little 33 for this season.

Awww... boxer engines!

I guess you enjoy every time you drop the foot down!

I remember the first Alfa I drove, was a 33 phase 2, 1300cc. without exhaust and with Bonalume trumpets!

Gorgeous car!

Which is this circuit? It is not Serres I guess. Megara maybe?

The 75 don't look as so serious track car  :D .

Megara it is :)

This 75 turbo is about 450ps with expensive mods..

It is maybe the faster alfa romeo on this track and faster than a Toyota Corolla WRC that joined the event.

Thank you for the link Duden!

I have read  every page of the above topic and that guy is an inspiration! Give him my regards in case you know him.

With not many improvements in my 33 I came first in my category in the last alfa trofeo.

The 33 sits on koni and low springs but this is not enough.. Maybe good for road use but not for race.

Unfortunately, intrax suspension is way off my budget..

With much less money I can have a custom made suspension.

It wont be as good as intrax but hopefully way better that koni...

Doing so I can spare lots of money in other updates like slip diff, safety improvements and tires.. I need a lot of tires :D
