I haven't set an official date yet but I plan to take one of my cars back to Brands Hatch in May 2015. I still need to checkout date etc.
I will also invite other 916 owners from other forums to join me if they can.

Ebay item no. 151288104369
I'm selling my Spider, its been my pride and Joy for the last 5 years. I'm in the UK based in Kent just outside London.
-
I know that feeling.

I'm looking forward to this, booked into Hotel le Soyeuru 5km away from the track. The Cup will get a run for sure.
-
The cup is back with me in 1 piece, it drives beautifully. Today I pulled the spider out of the garage to be collected by my machine shop man. He has rebuilt another TS engine keeping the ballance shafts in this block. A picture of the 2 dirty girls. The other is 1 with cup 131 and my friends drift car.
-
Put the the 72k engine and 6 speed box on a pallet and stick it in the corner of your garage if you have room. They will be difficult to find 1 day. I'm currently on the look out for a gta 3.2 power plant with box. 3.75 rebuild on the cards !
-
I still have that s/s cat back system I'd like to try on the car. I'm unsure of the sound. It just needs modifying slightly and I will have it fitted over the next couple of weeks.

Don't we own these cars because we love them and not because they are cheap to maintain ?
For the price I have paid for the car, parts and labour so far, you could buy a decent V6 in Europe. I guess you can say we're blessed in the UK- 1
-
No parts and labour don't come cheap here in the UK.
All the work that AL are carrying out + parts cost more or less the same as the price of the car !!
What can I say, when you're on a roll things go your way, I'm having a good start to the year
I have a lot more planned to do on the car then what the good lads at Autolusso are carrying out (watch this space)
Ned is waiting for parts to come back from the powder coaters then his team can fit the engine back into the car.
-
Progress report !
I dropped the car off at Autolusso on Saturday. Here's a quote from Ned.
"We have Cup number 131 in for what we would call a mid life crisis
Engine out,
Belt, tensioner, idlers, cam cover gaskets
Plugs
Pump
Quaife
GTA clutch and flywheel
Radiator
Suspension arms
Shocks and springs
Etc, etc etc
Ned"I've added some pictures from their workshop. I decided to get all the work done at their place as it was there.
More updates to follow as work continues.
-
I've booked the car in for 1 of Autolusso's full annual services plus a complete belt change next week. (This includes an air con re gas)
I have also asked them to fit the mocal oil cooler kit.
The clutch is fine and not slipping at all so this job can wait.
I will make a start on the suspension when the weather warms up. At least once the belts are done I can drive the car with confidence. More photos to follow.

Haven't they just released a new super car? The geko I think !!?
-
I got my weismann hard top from butt head, a member from this site. He told me he had to go back to weisman for the rear heated screen wires and hard top mountings. So they "did" still sell them.
-
That is cheap at £462 !!
I wonder if the fittings are included? Your looking at another 2/300€ for these if not.

It seems that in the UK this was once the best selling convertible. They seem dirt cheap in the UK.
Don't tell me that I always wanted a Saab turbo
