3 mm is enough, if the rim weights can move between the caliper and Rim can I see no problems. at this moment the spider is for a short stray at home because the shed gets a new roof. unfortunately i'm unable to sell the gtv. No body want to pay a fair price. so also no update's for the spider.

as far as I know 330mm brakes in combination with 17" teledails fit. joris dit it also with his spider I also forgot to tell you that the gtv has now red carpet and motus red seets. that he received after the holidays

in recent months i ditn't do many on the gtv or spider. with the gtv I have don a few events. and for the spider another brake upgrade from stoch to 305mm and now for the 330mm brakes. last month I shoud drive with a friend in a alfa 90 to Italy. but on the day of departure is the master brake cylinder died. so we had another car. his alfa gt jtd had broken drive shafts. My 33 is already 2 months quietly for waiting for som welding and apk(mot) the spider still has no engine. so the gtv was the only option. the trip went very well. no problems or anything with the gtv. only written of som parts.... tyres brakes and the front suspension arms

It's just chrome paint only then in the color gold. It only has 1 disadvantage. It is not restistens against fuel. with the head gasket Exchange there is some fuel leaked over it so I need to spray them over again....
-
When the gtv was road legal again i took her fore a drive. and then came the problems. the headgaskets were leak so back to the workshop. to mount a set of new headgaskets. the gtv beside to my daily. become an expensive month.... the cylinders still look nice out for 226,000 km After that was built everything back together I still had a little problem with the circulation to the coolantreservoir When that was fixed it was all good with the cooling of the engine. When some on polished for our Dutch annual 916 ride. only under the hood. the exterior needs polishing but that is for an other time.
-
the gtv is still not road legal, but it is closer then a cople of weeks a go
-
that comes with the belt Exchange. Hopefully he 6 april road legal again
-
and the engine starts even though look a bit more beautiful.

After a bit of tinkering she runs again. Luckily it wasn't a leak headgasket as the previous owner claimed. There was s too long radiator hose mounted that a kinked in front of the radiator, leaving the radiator withoud coolant flowing through it. which resulted in an engine that overheated and a radiator the couldn'd handle the pressure. After changing the radiator and cooling hoses she runs perfectly again. things to do to get it back road legal. som smal parts of the brake line's powerflex in the supporting arms at the rear. new supporting arms at the front new tyres timing belt

the adapter plates have still quite some work to fit propely . to inlet runners are skewed and not in line. so that needs a lot of after thinking. last Friday I bought a ecu for the engine. She will run on a DTA S80 pro ecu. last week I have bought another small project. a very poor looking gtv 3.0 24v the car getting a little refurbished and cleaned. then another few months driving around and resell it.
-
only a few adjustment needed they before aluminium copies can be made. a few speedbumps that have to be smoothed. but further its a beautiful inlet channel.
-
Today the test adapter to arived. and everything seems to fit. still a few minor adjustments for aluminum copies can be made.

There's not much happened to the spider since the last update. have the engine compartment a clean up. still have a little further research in the area of the camshafts. the rz/sz camshafts are so far to measure was the same as the 916 3.0 12v camshafts. the catcams are a bit faster. also, I have no news yet on the adapter plates so I can also not let overhauling the cylinder heads. what brings whole project to a stand still. a reason that little is done to the spider was that my daily driver didn't get a fres MOT. He was rotten. so I thought I spend some more money out and buy a car where I can drive a few years with. but unfortunately he committed suicide after 3 months. connecting rod bearings. so that was 4000 euro down the drain. so I needed another car to get to my work. in the winter on a mopet 40 km is not really fine. so I have bought a alfa 33 1.4 ie. After 2 months a rotten 33 1.7 ie After a 3 day tinkering on the 1.7 to the scrappy. and the engine and other nice parts on my own 1.4 Hopefully the 33 survives a little longer than the 156

the same gtv an x number of years later and a few others
-
Not yet. I hope to have them by the end of this year.

another small update. last week, the quaffe and the catcams camshafts received. so the 3.0 6bak wil be out this months for an overhauled and mounting of the quaffe differential. Here is an example of the camshafts. (the black ones are the catcams)
